Route 111
Sporting an average of 15 years of musical experience, there’s no
gimmicks to be found in this band’s repertoire, just heartfelt straight-
forward rock n’ roll. Route 111 keeps their audience warm and ready
to join the party. Route 111 will be collecting donations which will go
directly to the American Red Cross to support the relief efforts
associated with the devastating Lake Tahoe fire.  The bands’ past
charitable efforts have contributed to a variety of not-for-profit
causes, including a previous Union Square show where the band
raised in excess of $5,000 for the Hurricane Katrina Relief Efforts on
behalf of the American Red Cross.

is the local branch of the nationally acclaimed music school recently
depicted in the documentary, "Rock School."  The original performance
based, interactive music school for kids ages 8-17, believes the best

45th Annual Cable Car Bell Ringing Contest
The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA/Muni) is
proud to present the 45th Annual Cable Car Bell Ringing Contest,
which will take place at noon on Thursday, July 12, 2007 in Union
Square.

A great San Francisco tradition, this is a two-part competition featuring
the best of Muni’s professional bell-ringers, vying for the coveted title
of Bell-Ringing Champion, as well as non-profit organizations who
have the opportunity to compete for cash and prizes.

The 45th annual Cable Car Bell-Ringing Contest is being presented by
Muni, with the support of the Union Square Association, the Friends of
the Cable Car Museum, and ING Financial.

MIko Marks
MIko Marks Raised in Flint, Michigan, the nations’ industrial heartland,
Miko first discovered her vocal prowess at a tender age. Her writing
talents have continued to sharpen with experience and maturity. Her
lyrics are optimistic, personal and delivered by crisp, powerful vocals.
Miko Marks is virtually incomparable as a performer, with a voice that
shines crystalline without studio gadgetry. Her influences cross the
barriers of generation, genre and race, while her live performances
satisfy the toughest critics.

Miko’s debut album, Freeway Bound, was named "Country Album of
the Year" at the Independent Music Awards, she was awarded "Best
New Country Artist for 2006" by New Music Weekly Magazine, and
she was named "Female Vocalist of the Year" by Indie World in
Nashville.

(Rod Stewart, Jefferson Starship, Hot Tuna, John Lee Hooker, Steve
Kimock, Jerry Garcia), G.E. Smith, Jimmy Sanchez (Dr. John, Roy
Rogers, Bonnie Raitt, Maria Muldaur, Tom Waits, Boz Scaggs). Lots of
musical talent in this band!
