The Concierge of Yerba Buena Gardens
Elizabeth comes to us form Atlanta, Georgia with a
background in dance. She is currently involved with
Strong Current Dance Company.  She’s performing all
over the Bay Area and brings her southern hospitality,
and quick wit, to the Garden Guide position. She also
has an innate sense for gardening and is in charge of
what’s growing in our Learning Garden.
Abraham is currently a student at Circus Center San
Francisco’s Clown Conservatory, with years of
physical comedy experience.  A musical clown, he
brings with him a plethora of clown games, a passel
of juggling tricks and a pair of musical conundrums.

Garden Guide Schedule Of Events

Garden Guides are an important part of the Yerba Buena Gardens
children’s programming.  The Guides are performers from the Bay
Area who interact with families and children, but also act as a valuable
arm of the Gardens Educational Team.  The Garden Guides
personalize your Yerba Buena Gardens experience by helping you
and your families enjoy the day. Come learn about the plants in our
“Learning Garden”, circus skills in the “Play Circle” and a variety of
other friendly and interesting outdoor activities. They also aid in
informing our guests of the wonderful museums, restaurants, and
events that are going on in Yerba Buena Gardens and the surrounding
areas.

Come say hello to them at our Play Circle, located on the Children’s
Rooftop at Folsom/Howard between 3rd and 4th streets in Yerba
Buena Gardens.

They also give tours through the Learning Garden daily.
We have crafted a fun educational
immersive space in which children and
adults can come together to learn about
the gardens and where the food on their
plates comes from.

We begin our mornings here with a quick
introductory tour of the learning garden,
explaining it’s function and accessibility,
and a sampling of the types of activities it
provides.

We end our day again with a tour of our
learning gardens. See how your food gets
from the ground to your plate, following the
lifecycle of plants and insects in our unique
immersive private gardening space.

Our classes cycle, through a variety of
skills, offering multiple workshops
everyday, free of charge to children
groups and families.

Throughout the day our Garden guides
offer a series of classes and performances
for all ages. With an emphasis on circus
skills and family interaction, our guides
give instruction in everything from dance
and acrobatics to clown and basic circus
skills. You can learn to juggle, spin plates,
boogie woogie or just be silly together.
