Presented by Jewels in the Square, The Picklewater Free Circus Festival
returns for its second year at Union Square bringing back free circus to Bay
Area families. This free festival of circus arts features some of the best in
Circus Arts from around the bay area. This month long festival will entertain
and inspire bay area families while celebrating the rich tradition of circus in
San Francisco and around the bay. Offering a mix of professional and student
performers, free circus lessons and a broad variety of circus styles, the
festival celebrates the long rich tradition of Circus Arts in the bay area.

Oscar Reynolds
A leading advocate of his native country’s music, Bolivian-born Oscar
Reynolds is an accomplished composer, internationally-acclaimed Andean
flute master and guitarist. His music is rooted in Bolivian tradition while
blending Afro-Peruvian, Brazilian, and Flamenco traditions.

Diego’s Umbrella
Diego’s Umbrella is the original Spanish Surf Mexican Gypsy Pirate Pop
Band from San Francisco. Together for over seven years, the band creates
music that will make you smile, weep, ponder, and dance.

Crosscut Band
Crosscut, based in the San Francisco Bay Area, plays a unique mix of vintage
blues and rock, along with original music, to create a sound that is all its own.
Their musical influences include early Delta Blues, Memphis and Chicago
Electric Blues, Soul from STAX and Motown, 50's Rock & Roll, 60's and 70's
Rock, and Jazz.

San Francisco International Arts Festival
Come down to Union Square for free site specific shows and outdoor sneak
previews of performances by various local and international artists
performing as part of SFIAF. The program includes performances by
participants in SFIAF's newest program, titled MASH. This year's inaugural
MASH artists are The Riley Dance Project, Shah & Blah Productions and
Gretchen Garnett & Dancers.

Lindy in the Square
The Swing Dancers will turn back the clock and infect the Square with dance
fever the fourth Wednesday of every month from May through October.
Introductory dance lessons will be followed by an open dance floor. Bring a
partner or come and meet new people!
